Start with the use case
Decide whether the simulator is mainly for Formula, GT, rally, drifting, Flight Sim or several disciplines. This determines the driving position, controls and which upgrade options matter.

BUILD THE COMPLETE SETUP
A good simulator is not only a collection of strong individual products. The cockpit, wheelbase, steering wheel, pedals, controls and accessories need to work together mechanically, electronically and on the intended platform.
Decide whether the simulator is mainly for Formula, GT, rally, drifting, Flight Sim or several disciplines. This determines the driving position, controls and which upgrade options matter.
Make sure products match in bolt pattern, quick release, electronics, software and platform. Hardware from different brands can sometimes be combined but may require USB or an adapter.
Measure the room and check that the cockpit or desk supports the equipment. Allow space for the display, cables, power supplies, shifter, handbrake and driving-position adjustment.
A rigid foundation and correct fit make future upgrades more useful. Start with the part that limits the complete setup most, then add stronger hardware, more controls or haptics.

NOT SURE ABOUT COMPATIBILITY?
Send the products you are considering, your platform and the equipment you already own, and we will help check compatibility and mounting.
It is often possible on PC, especially when each device connects separately by USB, but mechanical mounting and functions routed through a wheelbase may require adapters. Console compatibility is usually more restricted.
The usual minimum is a wheelbase or wheel system, steering wheel, pedals and secure mounting. The cockpit, seat, shifter, handbrake, display and haptics depend on budget and use case.
Always check the exact product page and the complete signal chain. Xbox support may be provided by the steering wheel, while PlayStation support is often built into the wheelbase. Separate USB devices do not automatically work on console.
